Bella Bella

I am awful at posting now and days.
Feels like things have taken such a bust turn, I got a job in Svedala and have been attending my Swedish lessons everyday for about a month.
But I was so happy to see today a friend on deviantart finished an art trade with me for my lovely OC Bellanoir - I was so chuffed! So i thought Id make a small show case of some of the Bella through the ages, and the artwork inspired by her!

my old original picture of bella while i was learning digital artwork, this was the first completed picture of her
a royal painting of her done by my dear friend Ciwiel as an art trade for me!!
an awesome blinky chibi made by the lovely Kleedoll on deviantart! Click on the pic to see it blink!!
my own chibi version of Bella, made for my artshop!
Bella goes traditional! Made by the sweet Reem Alfala on deviantart in color pencils!
the work in progress of my realistic Bella creation, now months after starting digital artwork and taking me months as I dont have as much time :( Soon done I hope!
I love this character so much so thanks to all who have drawn her and given her new life through your own styles and creativeness! So much fun to see her in all sorts of different proportions and light hehe

Hope everyones well and enjoying the cool fall weather :D

Food Festival, Chibi RemakesI and More

Its been a great wonderful week this week, winning the Discover Y.O.U ecourse, opening and promoting my Zazzle shop and all sorts of other sites like tumblr, and squidoo to get my art out there
Yesterday was a wonderful icing on the cake as it was sunny and warm for once and we went to the last day of the Malmö Food Festival and met up with Richards friends Thomas and Toby :)
Me and Liam eating Greek Food
Liam and I ate some Greek food from one of the stands, and Richard and the rest of the boys had a Boar wrap of some kind :P hehe very manly.
Richard, Thomas and Toby
Afterwards we had Churros (omg, so good) and watched the weirdest band...or sound check...on stage while having a drink overlooking the stage
the band left to go shopping about half an hour in
Another great thing about going into Malmö is the American shop they have there which I always love to go into and grab some of my favorite junk food from my homeland: The States :D
reeses pieces, blue skittles, kraft mac n  cheese and Captain Crunch!!! OMG!
There was also a watermelon airhead but that didnt survive the journey home :P
Today is supposed to be really warm and sunny again so Ill try to make the most of it ^^
In terms of my little art world I have around me - I have completed my art trade with Reem-Alfalfa of her character Lucy :) Which ill show you now:
my version of Lucy

And if you can handle anymore Ive been working on some Chibis for my Zazzle Shop!

Elves, Lolita, and Bothersome Eyes

Good morning folks! Last night I was so happy to complete my half of the art trade with Ciwi :)
I havent drawn elves, ears and all in ages, and well a man? I think Ive completed avoid for the best part of a decade, so please be kind to me :P
May I present her two blood elf characters, remade into my own not-so-wow-clothing fashion:
In this version I tried changing her eyes a bit... she had beautiful eyes, when they were really close up. from far away she looked drugged or something I HATE IT WHEN THAT HAPPENS.
Here was a close up of her face before I had to go some surgery on an already merged picture (you can imagine my happiness...)
Sigh oh well, I gave a few new things a shot this time around. Knowing that it would be a night scene I did try and make the base colors a bit more appropriate :

cuddles!
I made the texture for the dress myself, but really didnt like using it as an overlay, it completely ruined it... which is a shame because it doesnt sit as nicely as it could on the dress with the shadows...but I think its still sweet and gives her a bit more detail which is good :P

Now! Dont Forget!! Sketchfest begins tomorrow!!
The 24 hour sketch-a-thon with artists all over the world begins at 12 pm alaskan time tomorrow, Friday the 19th of August ^^ For those in sweden thats 10 pm!! Check out the website and get involved :D!!

Despite the fact Ill have 3 kids here this weekend - I will put a much larger effort into prompts, chat, and detailed sketches this time so Ive got my focus back :P hehe.
See all of you there!!

Liam, Line Art, and More Rain

Today was a thrilling and yet heart wrenching day as it was my first full day with Liam back here at home. With all my swedish visa papers complete and him able to go to school here he finally was able to come back to Sweden and is currently sleeping peacefully down stairs.

In other news Ciwi was here to visit on Thursday night! Here is she in all her glory after I painted her nails bright green heheh! It was a shame that she could only stay a night but I had a great time running around Malmö in the rain with her trying in perfume and drinking ice tea ^^ Hope we can have another visit very soon! :D
In terms of our art trade together, were both done with our characters lineart, so I shall proudly display it here for you!
here is her lineart for my character Bella! Look at those boots! better than I ever sketched them lool amazing work so far!!

and here is my lineart for her too WoW chars, in more lolita clothing :P Its going to be a nighttime scene, so a new coloring challenge!

Other than that I have new concepts and designs for Aedhen, a great painting idea for Heidis and also the brilliant news that my art supplier Martin just got an amaaazzzing printer, which I went to go check out today... possibly the largest printer Ive ever encountered in person truly.
Well be doing a print of Aedhen: Winter Guardian on a beautiful quality canvas when they come into stock so I truly cant wait to show all of you how it looks printed in the future!!!

Hope everyones having a great weekend ^^

i shouldnt have to wear winter boots in august

today ive already had to go tromping in the rain into town and back twice and it isnt even 11 am yet.
i am cold, still a bit wet and terribly tired. and whats making me even MORE tired is trying to get my zazzle shop viewer ready.
its not public yet  - and ive hit one big road block. CSS...
Back in 2008 I tried to self teach myself web design, and got a basic book on css, read tutorials on dreamweave for age and hours.
might as well of been sleeping because i dont remember any of it
But one good thing I got done was my banner:
I drew and colored all those chibis seperately and on a rather large scale in case I need them later, but over all I think its really cute and fits well so far.
If anyone reading this HAS  zazzle shop and would be kind enough to give me some tips Id really appreciate it!!

Otherwise my outings in the rain are not over for today.
I am head into Malmö to meet up with Ciwiel whos staying over night here ^^ It should be great fun having her over, despite the weather and the cold. I dont mind bundling up in some coffee shop for a few hours Ill tell you that much.
And just for kicks here are some screenshots, pictures, and more of things that are going on and plans for future projects:
heres a sample product on my wip shop  -aedhen as an iphone4 case
here is the art trade with ciwi im working on, HIS HAND MUST BE REMOVED. otherwise shes looking okay :P
i have another art trade afterwards with a lovely girl in deviantart, who wants me to draw her character lucy in the red sweater
Wish me luck with that CSS and hope everyone here in southern sweden is surviving this never ending rainy summer...

Sketchfest #16 and a weekend of frazzled minds

I was super lame for Sketchfest this month. We had the kids over for the weekend, and with the non stop rain and tight budget we were stuck inside the whole weekend. now you might think that works out better for Sketchfest! Wrong. 2 kids under 6 being inside for a whole weekend means alot of screaming, running, going crazy-ness.
So, I am really sorry, I only was able to complete 3 sketches (which is a wonder if you think about it! :P)

prompt was "Steampunk Sweetheart", my OC Bella again!

prompt "the tree we live in" - practicing that coloring technique for tree bark again

prompt "fluffy pink bunnies with lots of bows"...i think that was it :P
I also dont own a scanner remember so I know my picture quality is very lame -_- Though I am bummed I couldnt partcipate in the festivities much this month, I am very happy to know that its coming around next month as well and Ill definitely try and get involved alot more like I was last time.

In other news - thanks to those who voted on my Facebook page - I can determine Ill be digitally remaking Gretchen. Ill have to brainstorm ideas - and always love listening to yours if you have any input ^^
Also I am working on an art trade via deviantart. I have 2 actually which is kindve fun. Right now the persons characters Im working on are an angel and demon...Its very kitchy but itll be cute. Theyve specifically requested I draw it like my Trinity in Rainbows contest entry...Ill let you know! Here is the concept sketch - a bit shakey but oh well:
I always have a harder time drawing other peoples characters because I have to get everything just like their character is! and thats not the point.
Im almost done editing the line art - so next coloring and shading. No background for this one (thank goodness I say).
Thats all from me! Hope you all had a nice weekend ^^

Another contest, and an Art Trade!

Today I started on a new contest on deviantart - something a bit different. The artist Kinkei drew a pencil sketch and asked for fellow artist to color it in!
I thought itd be good fun so I went with it. There was the challenge that it was a pencil sketch... so I did all the line art myself since I couldnt correct the sketch well enough all on its own...
But - here it is complete! with WIP/original sketch pictures underneath :D
happy i got to reuse that rose i drew before!
original sketch by Kinkei
the line art i made from that
basic colors
and the shading done
In other news I am doing an art trade with my wonderful friend Ciwiel! The set up is to go like this: she draws the sketch, I make the line art, she colors it in, and I add any final touches ^^
I am super excited about it - I think itll be alot of fun!
She sent me the adorable initial sketch this morning:
awww ^^
Ill let you know how I get along! Until then, wish me luck in the new contest hehe :D
