First Snow and Alot of Paint!

Hello all! So the first snow has fallen here in little Skurup. Theres hardly a thing sticking but its the thought that counts :P

Today inbetween doing bits and bobs on my painting we also moved all my old chibi girl paintings into my step daughters room!

This felt really nice as they fit perfectly there, and it frees up the stairway for all the incoming bird girls who had no home hehe

BeeBee, Heidi, Matilda, and Olga in their new home! A girly pink and green room ^^

as well as Gretchen and Fox girl chibi by the entrance. Her room is now officially stuffed with paintings :P

so now in the stairway are Crane Girl, Pheasant Girl and Circe, with tons of room for all the new paintings underway!

and who could forget Miss Canary, who sits with my love the Pinecone Santa in the stairway landing ^^

and here as a sneak preview is my work on Cardinal girl, all fitted out for St. Lucia! Getting closer!

I have been accepted into the local Skurup Art Club, which means these ladies may be in some exhibitions soon and will actually be framed! Thatll be a new thing for me - if anyone has any suggestions for framing please let me know!

Okay, I went Overboard. New Phone Cases done!

Now that things have settled and I have alot more time in the evenings to concentrate on art/my shop again I had a browse on Zazzle and was delighted to see they put in some new phone cases!

2 cases for Blackberry (Bold and Curve) and Samsung Galaxy! The Galaxy is on my wish list - so it is especially awesome for when I can get an actual phone plan *lol, i feel like such a teeny bopper*

So, I just took all of my old designs (I know, I am so boring, gimme time!) and created all of them. I guess I got a bit excited :P But anyway, a small sample, for ya on here, I will definitely take my day off work tomorrow to browse all the new thingd zazzle has put up!

Bella Bella

I am awful at posting now and days.
Feels like things have taken such a bust turn, I got a job in Svedala and have been attending my Swedish lessons everyday for about a month.
But I was so happy to see today a friend on deviantart finished an art trade with me for my lovely OC Bellanoir - I was so chuffed! So i thought Id make a small show case of some of the Bella through the ages, and the artwork inspired by her!

another life dump, art and all

Hello hello,
its another life dump sortve day, lots of pictures and happenings here in our little corner of Sweden. First off, I am sick so excuse any poor typing or lack of sense :P comes with the territory.
Secondly, some of you may or may not know my birthday is coming up on September 11th (yes i know an awful day to have a birthday no need to remind me :P) and whilst in town we went to SF Bookshop - and found a wonderful early birthday present for me!! :D

oh yes very nice.

Its the Imagine FX's Fantasy Workshop book! Complete with guides to all sorts of fun things like character creation, backgrounds and more

even a whole manga section yay!!

and some great hints to help me with more realistic painting which i need.

My dream is to someday have a bookshelf full of art books - from digital to acrylic, to sketching, and anatomy... Every book I collect is special to me, as is this. Ive already spent alot of time this weekend reading through and then just without looking at it making crazy sketches on my computer

this is what happens when i start with a blob of paint and nothing else O_o

Despite the oncoming of a cold most of the morning, in the afternoon I got out the paints with liam and did a bit of "portrait" painting with him. We've been watching some Sailor Moon episodes together and he absolutely LOVES her, thinks shes so funny :P So he took it upon himself to paint her:

Obviously hes got the artist talent lol! He even remembered her tiara and "when shes fighting" she has red things in her hair ;) And just for kicks I gave him a moon on his forehead:

You know Ive previously done Aedhen in a winter theme, this time shell come about in a burning city, covered in flame. Its another huge challenge, like the forest was, so well see how that all goes.

And thats it for me! A weekend photo dump of all the things going on and about. Now hopefully I can get some rest, and feel much healthier tomorrow as I start the process of my eCourse, new paintings, and more.

Food Festival, Chibi RemakesI and More

Its been a great wonderful week this week, winning the Discover Y.O.U ecourse, opening and promoting my Zazzle shop and all sorts of other sites like tumblr, and squidoo to get my art out there
Yesterday was a wonderful icing on the cake as it was sunny and warm for once and we went to the last day of the Malmö Food Festival and met up with Richards friends Thomas and Toby :)

Afterwards we had Churros (omg, so good) and watched the weirdest band...or sound check...on stage while having a drink overlooking the stage

Another great thing about going into Malmö is the American shop they have there which I always love to go into and grab some of my favorite junk food from my homeland: The States :D

reeses pieces, blue skittles, kraft mac n  cheese and Captain Crunch!!! OMG!

There was also a watermelon airhead but that didnt survive the journey home :P
Today is supposed to be really warm and sunny again so Ill try to make the most of it ^^

Elves, Lolita, and Bothersome Eyes

Good morning folks! Last night I was so happy to complete my half of the art trade with Ciwi :)
I havent drawn elves, ears and all in ages, and well a man? I think Ive completed avoid for the best part of a decade, so please be kind to me :P
May I present her two blood elf characters, remade into my own not-so-wow-clothing fashion:

In this version I tried changing her eyes a bit... she had beautiful eyes, when they were really close up. from far away she looked drugged or something I HATE IT WHEN THAT HAPPENS.
Here was a close up of her face before I had to go some surgery on an already merged picture (you can imagine my happiness...)

Sigh oh well, I gave a few new things a shot this time around. Knowing that it would be a night scene I did try and make the base colors a bit more appropriate :

 I made the texture for the dress myself, but really didnt like using it as an overlay, it completely ruined it... which is a shame because it doesnt sit as nicely as it could on the dress with the shadows...but I think its still sweet and gives her a bit more detail which is good :P

Despite the fact Ill have 3 kids here this weekend - I will put a much larger effort into prompts, chat, and detailed sketches this time so Ive got my focus back :P hehe.

Aedhen: Winter Guardian Complete!

It is complete! After many hours toiling, and attempting, her she is in all her glory ^^
You can read more about what everything in the picture means either on my post earlier or on my deviantart page especially the later for the thank yous for textures ^^
It was a hard project because of the background but it all pulled together nicely! Lets recap shall we over all the work in progress photos hehe:

there was a sketch based after my own personal kung fu :P

which became line art in paint tool sai

then i sorted out the base colors and decided i needed a background next

heres that and progress on shading, check out my live stream for me doing the background!

and were back to the completed version!!

I hope you all like her, it was a fun and sometimes daunting challenge :D Each new digital art piece I do I aim to learn something and I certainly have :P

Live Stream! And Some Exhausting Work

Hello Folks!

I am here again updating on my "Aedhen" project. Today I continued work on the frozen forest I was meant to be creating as a background. I spent a good 20 minutes this morning straight faced wishing someone would pop up and tell me exactly how to do it :P
I am not very good and knowing "cheats" for digital artwork, so Ive spent a good few hours this morning doing everything as I figured I should be doing it. Painstakingly slow.
But guess what!
