Inspiration Wednesdays : Lori Earley

"Frozen" oil on board by Lori Earley
This week for my Wednesday Inspiration, I'd love to share with you a recent artist Ive come across - the very talented: Lori Earley

"The Wish" oil on linen by Lori Earley
This artist was introduced to me accidently by my friend Michelle Izzard - I saw she had followed her on twitter and I had to check her out! I was amazed by the incredible detail, imaginative proportions, and the fantastic color this artist had. And the best part is: shes a traditional artist.
Doesnt get better than that!!

Just have a glimpse of some of her paintings up close - the skin, the eyes, the lips are all immaculate but with such a cool spin to it. She plays amazingly with lighting, creating dynamic pieces anyone could easily say "Yes, now thats how painting should be."
"Leila" oil on board by Lori Earley
Lori is a professional traditional oil painter who was born in New York. She describes her work as a  "fusion of personal experiences and influences- moody atmospheres, victorian-inspired couture, and timeless elements all laced with clandestine symbolism."
She paints on wood boards or on Italian imported linen canvases and says her paintings can take anywhere from a month to 6 months to complete! Very amazing dedication I say!
"The Wait" oil on board by Lori Earley

You can see more of her work, and order prints from her all from her own website: Lori Earley
Thanks Lori for being great inspiration! Keep up the awesome work! :D
